Canadian Petroleum Interpretive Center
The Interpretive Center has interactive displays, games and knowledgeable guides who share stories of the oilpatch, developments in technology, and the wonders of science. The Center covers exploration, geology, drilling, transporting and the processing of oil, not only in Alberta but also in Canada and beyond. Outdoor displays include vehicles, a field battery, and a working drilling rig.

Devonian Botanic Garden
This scenic garden is located 15 minutes from Best Western Cedar Park Inn and 5 minutes north of the Town of Devon. Established in 1959 by the University of Alberta, the Devonian Botanic Garden includes an authentic Japanese Garden, attractive floral gardens, and collections of native and alpine plants and ecological reserves. The Garden is located within an attractive rolling landscape of pine trees and wetlands. Connected gardens extend over 80 acres with an additional 110 acres of natural areas for visitors to enjoy.

Elk Island National Park
Located about 50 km east of Edmonton, Elk Island National Park features over 100 kilometres of hiking and skiing trails. Wander among the lakes, bogs, meadows, and hills, and see bison, moose, caribou, beaver, coyotes, and an astonishing variety of birds.

Fort Edmonton Park
It's living history at its best! Join the costumed historical interpreters and try your hand at living life as an early pioneer. You'll experience life as it was at the 1846 fort and on the streets of 1885, 1905 and 1920. There are activities for all ages - antique vehicle rides, pioneer children's games, learning to bead, playing pool, darts and horseshoes, taking aim at the shooting gallery, and even 1920s style miniature golf. Take time to visit one of the many food service outlets and period retail shops. All you can ride steam train and streetcar rides are included in the admission.

Muttart Conservatory
Nestled in the scenic North Saskatchewan River Valley, the pyramids of the Muttart Conservatory are a striking landmark in Edmonton. Northlands Park
Northlands Park produces three of Edmonton's largest annual events - Edmonton's Klondike Days Exposition (July), Canadian Finals Rodeo (November), and Farmfair International (November).
